Cameco Fuel Manufacturing is seeking a temporary inspector to join our team. The successful candidate for this position will be performing inspection activities related to the Final Tubing UT Inspection area. This position is a 3-shift rotation and overtime may be required from time to time. The temporary term is expected to be for approximately 11 months.
Position and Responsibilities
Located in the Cobourg plant and reporting to the Quality Verification Supervisor, the position typically involves the following activities:
- MIL STD inspection of tubing
- OD Visual inspection – must pass eye examination requirements.
- Inspection activities as detailed per applicable documents which involve precision inspection equipment.
- Detailed accurate and legible records of all inspection activities.
- Initiating and completing DA activities as noted per the approved dispositions.
- Position may require heavy lifting at times.
- There may be a need to be qualified at other inspection processes to support business needs.
You will ensure that all work is performed safely, efficiently and in compliance with approved procedures and that proper and complete documentation is maintained.
Education and Qualifications
Requirements of the position:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 0-2 years of relevant work experience
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently
If the successful candidate does not have previous inspection experience, they will be required to complete a Quality Assurance course within six months. This position requires basic demonstrated ability, including successful qualification within a defined timeframe (6 — 8 weeks).
