Job Summary

As a Process / Commissioning Engineer, your thinking improves production. But when that thinking ensures safety - you're probably a Tetra Pak Process Engineer. Small improvements make a big difference.

Processing Liquid Food Solutions is responsible for development and manufacturing of solutions and branded processing units for the processing of liquid foods within dairy, beverage, prepared food, and plant based. We work closely with our market operations and customers to understand their true needs. To secure that we, create and convey our solutions that provide the greatest value for Tetra Pak and its Customers. Processing Liquid Food Solutions has approx. 350 employees in five main sites: Sweden, China, Mexico, USA, India, Singapore.

We're looking for passionate Process Engineers based in India. Someone with experience of required knowledge of the general principles of how food products are processed and packaged, the main equipments used, the composition, quality aspects and the hygienic requirements for the equipments, facilities and operators. Expected good knowledge and experience of the engineering practices, including Plants, process lines, applications and technology to do the design of the Production Solutions. Knowledge and understanding of the engineering practices for the design of food processing machinery, including applied food processing technology, hygienic design, general machine design, testing methods and manufacturing technique.

What you will do

Process Engineering

  • Be the expert of process design in customer orders throughout the order process
  • Lead and handle the design specification and dimensioning of process equipment and solutions
  • Contribute to product development initiatives
  • Provide technical support to our sales organisation during the pre-project stage
  • Drive technical discussion together with our project centres to understand and convey the local customer needs
  • Technical issue handling and documentation
  • Provide support and involve where necessary, working with SuM and procurement team in sourcing and evaluation of suppliers
  • As your experience grows, be involved in trouble shooting and meetings at customer sites and act as functional owner of the projects spanning all key disciplines

Commissioning

  • Commissioning, start-up and troubleshooting of branded processing units and process lines at our customer’s sites.
  • Mechanical completion inspection and /or pre-delivery tests in our engineering workshop in Kunshan/Winsted/Pune.
  • Technical training and support to Tetra Pak´s Market Companies.
  • Occasionally work with orders, internal sales support, customer claims, product nursing and product development, support, and audits at customer sites.
  • As a Commissioning Engineer, you will also share your knowledge with colleagues both within the team and from Market Company in both technical matters and behavior.

We believe you have

  • University degree/diploma or equivalent, preferably within chemical engineering and/or food technology or several years of experience from a similar position within the food processing industry
  • Technical expertise, with a preference for experience in food processes
  • While not mandatory, skills in order management, customer experience, and project management are considered advantageous
  • Knowledge in AutoCAD and SAP is valuable
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
