Responsibilities:American Systems is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented SCIF Security Design Specialist responsible for integrating security considerations and systems throughout the Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) design, construction, acquisition, planning, and execution process. The Specialist will be responsible for identifying security vulnerabilities and implementing preventative measures to ensure successful completion of SCIF construction or system delivery.
Responsibilities
- Integrate security practices and systems into SCIF design, construction, acquisition, and planning stages
- Assess and identify potential security vulnerabilities during all phases of SCIF projects
- Develop and implement preventative security measures and mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with government security standards and client requirements
- Provide recommendations and technical guidance to ensure the protection of classified information
- Ensure seamless delivery of systems and/or products in alignment with security guidelines
- Prepare and review documentation relating to facility security design and compliance
- Conduct risk assessments and advice on physical and operational security enhancements
- Minimum 1-3 SCIF/SAPF design, construction and/or facility security roles.
- Knowledge of facility construction standards and best practices for secure spaces.
- In-depth knowledge of ICD 705 and other Federal security directives
- Strong understanding of physical and technical security solutions
- Experience conducting vulnerability assessments and implementing security controls
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Active [TS/SCI] security clearance (required)
- U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
