Trimble Chennai is on the lookout for a proactive Python /Java Full stack Software Engineer to join its Cloud Platform Engineering Team. The role focuses on developing and maintaining robust SaaS services applications that operate at scale and are highly reliable and performant across AWS, Azure Platform.
Key Responsibilities
Clear understanding of high level product descriptions or requirement documents and propose one or more software designs at the module level that are highly reusable components
Convert the design elements into a structured code defined by the coding guidelines, writing unit test cases with the shift left development approach.
Document the software designs, code by working closely with the Architecture team.
Responsible for one or more modules for the development and support.
Contribute to the planning and execution strategy with little supervision.
Responsible for the delivery of the associated modules within the deadline with high quality.
Coordinate with the team for the timely delivery of products.
Open to work with different stakeholders like Product, Architecture, SRE and Compliance team
Open mindset to work in a fast paced evolving Product development organization
Skills & Experience
6-8 years of experience in software development
Solid understanding of Object Oriented Programming
Good understanding of various design patterns and software engineering principles
Solid hands-on experience in Python/Java (willing to work in Python)
Solid hands on experience with Cloud platform technologies (AWS/Azure for example Serverless programming skills)
Experience with UI development frameworks such as React JS
Good working knowledge with SQL & NoSQL databases.
Good analytical and problem solving skills
Familiar with software development best practices
Excellent communication skills
Good team player and able to collaborate with the other team members wherever it is required.
