Role: The Solutions Consultant is a key client-facing role within the Presales team, reporting to the Director of Pre-Sales. This position serves as the primary technical and business evangelist for Equisoft's Insurance solution footprint across distribution, carrier and TPAs. The SME will work directly with prospects and clients to understand their business challenges, demonstrate how our software can address their needs, and communicate the unique value proposition of the solution. Acting as both a product expert and solution architect, this role requires deep insurance expertise, robust knowledge of the Equisoft offering, strong presentation skills, and the ability to translate client requirements into compelling demonstrations that showcase the product's capabilities. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced sales environment and can effectively collaborate with both client stakeholders and internal teams.
Your Day with Equisoft:
Build trust and deliver product value messaging through direct interaction with new client prospects
Drive sales discovery discussions to gather an understanding and challenges within the client organization
Perform detailed client-facing presentations and product demonstrations of insurance solutions to all levels of personnel within a prospective organization
Share learnings with Product team to further the enhancement and evolution of the core product
Deliver PowerPoint presentations to showcase the solution, value add, and how we differentiate from the competition
Advocate and evangelist for the Equisoft product promoting the benefits of the solution that align with our sales strategy
Participate in answering RFPs and questionnaires
Assist in developing relevant use cases and demo prep to align with each client presentation
Act as a solution architect during a sales cycle, understanding how the product integrates within a typical ecosystem
Maintain current knowledge of markets, industry trends, competition, products and strategies
Translate client requirements into business and functional requirements that can be demonstrated
Design and adapt each demonstration to meet specific clients' needs while communicating applicable messages based on proposed solution and sales strategy
Support fast-paced cadence of work with parallel opportunities globally
Collaborate with sales teams to develop and refine sales strategy for the Equisoft product line
Requirements:
Technical
Bachelor's Degree or commensurate experience in a relevant field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the life insurance or agency distribution industry
Demonstrated knowledge of the Equisoft product offering and its capabilities (or ability to quickly gain this expertise)
Experience with solution architecture or system integration (middleware, Python, microservices) within the life, annuity, health insurance space
Understanding of insurance business processes and workflows
Experience working in customer-facing roles, preferably in a presale’s capacity
Understanding of how software solutions integrate within enterprise ecosystems
Strong autonomy and self-motivation with the ability to communicate progress and blockers in a timely manner
Excellent knowledge of English (spoken and written) / French (required if candidate is located in the Quebec Province) or Spanish (nice to have)
Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally
