Job Summary
The HR Shared Services Specialist serves as the liaison to employees and managers in a call center environment and/or business location(s). Acts as an HR Generalist in a primary point of contact role for employees to support, respond, handle, answer, and action issues/questions regarding policies, procedures, and HR systems. Will support centralization projects about process redesign along with program and policy improvements.
Essential Duties
Employee and Manager Support: Serving as the initial point of contact for questions concerning HR policies, procedures, and systems, acting as an HR generalist within a call center or business location setting.
Issue Resolution: Researching and resolving diverse HR issues to ensure accurate information and appropriate support are provided.
HR Life Cycle Management: Guiding employees and managers through various HR processes, including onboarding, leave management, job changes and offboarding.
HR System Optimization: Recommending and assisting in the implementation of improvements to HR systems, such as ServiceNow, to ensure operational efficiency.
Service Excellence: Delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring inquiries are addressed promptly and effectively.
Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing enhancements to HR processes for increased efficiency.
Compliance Assurance: Ensuring adherence to company policies and governmental regulations, including I9 and eVerify requirements.
Collaboration and Autonomy: Working effectively with various HR teams (e.g., Business Partners, Payroll) while also capable of independent task execution.
Training and Documentation: Developing and delivering training on new HR processes and maintaining clear procedural documentation.
Project Contribution: Providing support for various HR projects as needed.
You may be responsible and/or need to become familiar with one (or more) of the following areas:
• Onboarding: New Hire Experience Ownership, Immigration Management, Relocation Support
• Benefits and LOA: Benefits and Leave Administration, Annual Enrollment Support
• Offboarding: Offboarding support for both voluntary and involuntary terminations
• HR Systems: Maintain data integrity processing HRIS transactions, research and troubleshoot complex issues/errors
Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s Degree Human Resources or related field required
2+ years of HR experience, preferably various areas of HR such as HRIS, Benefits, & LOAs, supporting multi-site or remote clients Required
Experience with ADP products, Workday/HRIS systems, and SAP
Ability to travel approximately 15%
Qualifications Preferred
Progressive HR and Benefits experience
Experience working in shared services environments and with HR technologies.
Proven experience in process improvement, data analytics, and development.
Experience managing third-party vendors.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to partner across the company and with executive leadership.
Strong presentation and delivery skills.
Ability to take initiative and solve business problems.
Adept at handling multiple competing priorities and duties in a fast-paced, results-driven, rapidly changing environment – with minimal daily oversight.
Experience with case management systems like Neocase, ServiceNow, Salesforce HR,
or Oracle products.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent customer service orientation and attention to detail.
Proficiency in MS Office or Google products.
Ability to manage a fluctuating workload.
Fluent in Spanish is a plus
Travel Requirements: Ability to travel approximately 15%
