Summary

The Part-Time Transportation Coordinator will be responsible for administrative support to the Transportation department; under direct supervision, prepares regular work assignments related to the strategy of the department or work team.

 

This position will support our Event & Exhibit Services team. The position follows an in-person schedule working full-time in-office and/or show-site based out of Orlando, FL.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to Freeman Transportation.
  • Assist with shipment rating, billing and tracing.
  • Perform duties required to complete show closings.
  • Code and enter Freeman Transportation charges for inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Handle incoming exhibitor telephone calls properly regarding Freeman Transportation.
  • Perform tracing functions to locate freight and update exhibitors on shipment status when required.
  • Utilize carrier software programs efficiently to obtain shipment information.
  • Perform all data entry, including input, pricing, orders and payments, for Freeman Transportation.
  • Ensure all Freeman Transportation inbound and outbound shipments are consistently processed and proper follow-up is given to exhibitors on any discrepancies.
  • Complete all show closing functions for Freeman Transportation.
  • Follow-up on customer correspondence such as claims, credit memos, and complaints.
  • Calculate and verify all carrier invoices and complete monthly reports.
  • Represent Freeman Transportation at show-site to support staffing levels.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have at least two (2) years in the transportation industry.
  • Must be able to type 40 wpm.
  • Must have excellent 10-key by touch skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Must be detail oriented and organized.
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong analytical and organization skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
