PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Roofer is responsible for the maintenance and repairs of all roofing systems in the district.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School Graduate or GED preferred At least five years’ experience with a reputable roofing company Dependable and cooperative Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: • Responsible to maintain and repair roofs throughout the district. • Uses a variety of roofing materials and operates equipment normally used by roofers. • Ensures that an adequate inventory of supplies and materials are in stock. • Ensures that all work order are successfully completed and submitted in a timely manner to office staff. • Performs all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or to others. • Performs other related duties as assigned.
EQUIPMENT USED: • Electric power tools (saw, drill, etc.) district vehicle, asphalt hot pot, ladders
WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands/Physical demands/Environment Factors: • Strenuous walking, standing, and/or climbing, heavy lifting and carrying, working in extreme weather conditions, exposure to dust and toxic fumes, working in high places, working on slippery or uneven surfaces
