Job Summary

 

Reporting to the Chef Financial Officer and/or his designee, the Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and interpreting data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support Total Health Care’s business decisions and strategic planning, performance improvement, and problem-solving. The Data Analyst will also provide key management of THC with periodic statistical and economic models that forecast trends in the industry and how those trends could impact THC as a Federally Qualified Health Center. The Data Analyst will also provide support to the grant management and accounting teams with programmatic and performance data based on models that show how the data are meeting or failing outcomes that the grant funder requires.   

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Data Collection and Management: 
  • Identifying relevant data sources, setting up and maintaining databases
  • Ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency by identifying and resolving errors and inconsistencies

 

  • Data Analysis: Performing statistical analysis, creating visualizations, and generating reports to uncover insights and identify trends by utilizing statistical techniques and tools 

 

  • Reports Generation: Creating clear and concise reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings to management.

 

  • Business Understanding: Collaborating with business users to understand their needs and translate them into data-driven solutions

 

  • Problem Solving: Applying data analysis to address business challenges and improve efficiency. 

 

  • Communication and Collaboration: Presenting findings to management, working with technical and non-technical teams, and translating complex data into understandable information.

 

  • Continuous Learning: Staying up-to-date with the latest data analysis tools, techniques, and industry trends.

 

Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics preferred. Degrees in other fields such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science may be considered.

 

  • Technical skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (SQL, Python, R, etc.), as well as experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).

 

  • Analytical skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills

 

  • Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data in a clear and concise manner  

 

  • Licenses and Certifications—None required
