Job Title: K-HIL Validation Engineer – Body E/E Product Development.
Department: Body Electronics.
Location: MBRDI Embassy Crest, Bengaluru.
Join our dynamic Body Electronics team at MBRDI and play a crucial role in validating cutting-edge body electronics functions using Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulation.
We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and solution-oriented K-HIL Validation Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our automotive systems.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze requirements for various body electronics functions to develop comprehensive test strategies.
- Design and develop test specifications, test scripts, and test frameworks for HIL validation.
- Execute test cases on dSPACE/Vector HIL platforms, ensuring thorough test coverage within defined timelines.
- Analyze and debug reported failures, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to identify and resolve root causes.
- Maximize test automation to improve efficiency and reduce testing cycle times.
- Commission and set up HIL systems, including plant modeling.
- Define work packages for peers and external partners, maintaining frequent communication with system and component owners in Germany/India.
- Manage stakeholders, fostering strong relationships with business partners in Germany.
- Perform various testing types, including Black Box, Positive/Negative, Smoke (Sanity), Functional, Integration, Diagnostic, and OBD testing.
- Utilize defect tracking and bug reporting tools such as Jira and Doors for efficient issue management.
- Apply hands-on experience in CAPL/Python for scripting, debugging, and problem-solving.
- Apply technical understanding of MATLAB and Simulink models, along with proficiency in using oscilloscopes, Vector tools, diagnostic tools, and flash tools.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong automotive domain knowledge in body electronics, powertrain, or safety systems (e.g., door control modules, power windows, sunroofs, interior/exterior lighting, airbags, ESP, powertrain).
- Extensive expertise in Dspace/Vector HiL Simulators.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (CAPL, VB, Python).
- In-depth knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, Flex-Ray, and Automotive Ethernet.
- Expertise in diagnostics testing, particularly UDS.
- Proven experience in automating test cases.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with test management tools like DOORS, PREEvision, and DOORS NG.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics and Communication/Electrical and Electronics.
- 8-12 years of overall experience in the automotive domain.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Vector CAN tools (CANoe, CANalyzer, VTestStudio).
- Experience with Provetech, Control Desk, and Configuration Desk.
- Experience with Softing Tools – MONACO.
- Strong knowledge of CAN, FLEXRAY, LIN, and Ethernet protocols.
- Experience using DOORS and PREEVision.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience in the automotive field and exposure to a multicultural environment.
