After a hugely successful 2025 program, Newmont Cadia is once again opening the door for First Nations people to step into the mining industry with real skills, real support, and real pathways.
No experience? No problem. We’ll train you. We’ll pay you. We’ll back you.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
You don’t need mining experience. What you do need is:
- A positive attitude and drive to learn new skills
- A safety-first mindset and willingness to follow rules that protect you and your team
- Commitment to finish the program and give every rotation a red-hot crack
- The ability to work well with different people and personalities
- A provisional driver’s licence (manual preferred – let’s talk if this is a challenge)
- Flexibility to adapt to different rosters (including shift work, weekends, nights)
- Willingness to complete standard pre-employment checks
WHAT YOU’LL GET
- Paid placement – 12–16 weeks on-site at Cadia
- Skills for life – Nationally recognised tickets, qualifications, and on-the-job training
- Career discovery – Try different roles, find what excites you, and plan your future
