Shift Leader - Process (Jhagadia, Gujarat, India) chez UPL

Key Responsibilities:

1. Shift Operations Management:
• Supervise and coordinate all production activities during the shift.
• Ensure adherence to production schedules and targets.
• Monitor process parameters and take corrective actions as needed.

2. Safety & Compliance:
• Enforce safety protocols and all system compliance.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and environmental regulations.

3. Team Supervision:
• Lead and manage shift operators, technicians, and contract workers.
• Allocate manpower and resources efficiently.
• Provide on-the-job training and guidance.

4. Quality Control:
• Ensure product quality meets specifications.
• Coordinate with QA/QC for in-process and final product testing.
• Address deviations and implement corrective actions.

5. Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain shift logs, production reports, and incident records.
• Handover reports to the next shift and attend shift meetings.
• Record downtime, raw material consumption, and yield.

6. Maintenance Coordination:
• Report equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance teams.
• Support preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.

7. Emergency Handling:
• Act as the first responder during emergencies.
• Follow emergency response protocols and escalate as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Experience: 4 - 6 years in chemical/process manufacturing
• Skills: Process knowledge, leadership, communication, problem-solving, SAP/ERP familiarity.
