As a Project Cost Coordinator supporting our electric utility client, you will play a vital role in ensuring financial accuracy and efficiency across maintenance and capital projects. You’ll work closely with regional teams, analysts, and field supervisors to manage budgets, track expenses, and coordinate project forecasts. In this role, you’ll monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and identify opportunities for cost optimization. You’ll also collaborate with stakeholders, resolve issues proactively, and help maintain the rigorous financial standards that keep critical infrastructure projects on track. Your Day-to-Day Activities:· Attend meetings, capture detailed notes, and identify opportunities to transfer costs from the expense budget to the capital budget.· Summarize and prioritize meeting outcomes, ensuring clear action items are documented and communicated to the right stakeholders.· Follow up with stakeholders to confirm transfers are executed correctly, verifying that dollars are applied to the proper work orders and accounts.· Coordinate and communicate forecasted transfers, ensuring leadership has visibility and variances are reconciled against actuals.· Conduct variance analysis on project costs, flagging gaps, and recommending corrective actions to maintain budget accuracy.
