Position Overview

Neptune Technology Group is seeking a detail-oriented General Accountant to join our finance team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or professional with 0-2 years of experience to develop core accounting skills while contributing to essential financial operations. The General Accountant will play a key role in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and month-end close processes.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable

• Process customer invoices and ensure accurate and timely billing
• Maintain customer account records and update billing information
• Prepare aging reports and communicate with customers regarding past due accounts

Accounts Payable

• Schedule and process payments according to vendor terms and cash flow requirements
• Maintain vendor master files including payment methods, banking information, and tax documentation
• Set up new vendor accounts and update existing vendor information
• Coordinate with vendors regarding payment status and account maintenance

Month-End Close

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
• Support month-end reporting deadlines and deliverables
• Document and maintain accounting procedures and controls

General Accounting Support

• Assist with general ledger maintenance and transaction processing
• Support annual audit preparation and provide requested documentation
• Provide backup support for other accounting functions as needed

 Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field and 0-2 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and procedures

 Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)
• Knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes
• Previous internship or co-op experience in accounting

 Reporting Structure

This position reports directly to the Controller and will work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
