Receiving Clerk

REPORTS TO:        Receiving Section Manager

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt, Full-Time

Location: Hamilton, MO, 

Schedule:  M-F 8:00am-4:30pm

JOB SUMMARY:  

The receiving clerk will receive a large number of shipments on a regular basis.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

• Unloading shipments, ensuring contents are correct and not damaged

• Verify item & quantity by packing list.

• Update inventory in computer software

• Sort shipments and place in the correct storage/staging space

• Keep accurate records of shipments

• Prepare outgoing shipments and load onto a shipping truck

• Other duties as assigned with overtime required based on business demands.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma/GED

• Knowledge of NetSuite and Deposco highly desired

• Previous Receiving or Warehouse experience preferred.

Competencies (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing):

• Organizational skills necessary in loading and unloading shipments and storing in proper place

• Computer skills

• Able to follow directions and adhere to deadlines

• Ability to  work independently

Physical requirements

• This position is primarily walking with frequent lifting up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 70 pounds with assistance.

• Frequently reaching overhead, kneeling, stooping, and grasping

• Repetitive motion of wrists, hands, and/or fingers while operating a keyboard.
