Position: Construction Bid Coordinator
Classification: Full-Time, Non-Exempt / Hourly
Reports To: Administrative Director
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Kickstart your career in Construction Management! We're looking for a Junior Level Construction Bid Coordinator to support our estimating and bidding team, helping bring exciting commercial projects to life from the ground up.

About the Role: Responsible for to ensuring all completed bids meet the customer's contract requirements. The Bid Coordinator maintains, supports, and completes the entire bid process, working with other team members and others by supporting employees.
Results-oriented, hands-on professional with the ability to deal effectively and interact well with customers, subcontractors, and employees. Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts diplomatically and tactfully.
Essential Functions:
- Provides singular bid support to subcontractors with the scope and overall type of project
- Leads the bid solicitation process, orders print, and follows up on phone calls with sub-contractors
- Tracks bids, updates bid list, maintains sub-contractor list, and updates Sage database as needed
- Maintains a thorough understanding of the construction and breakdown of various trades
- Maintains office functions through constant and thorough communication
- Solicits and qualifies subcontractor proposals to ensure compliance with contract documents
- Prepares, reviews, and distributes subcontractor bids
- Creates and maintains Bid Binders for all active and archived jobs
- Manages project closeout and obtains all files, all completed bid and contract paperwork
- Maintains effective and professional relationships with subcontractors
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related work, as needed.
- Obtain, track, and manage Subcontractor’s Licenses, W-9s, Tax Documents for current or potential contractors
- Provides support, including but not limited to daily filing, scanning completed bid binders, and phone coverage
Other:
· Perform other job-related assignments as required that may be scheduled or unscheduled.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
· 1+ Years of experience in the construction industry is a plus
· Proficient in Microsoft Office, i.e., Excel, Word, & Outlook
· Experience in Sage 100 and Bid Mail a plus
· Positive attitude and team player
· Highly organized with strong emphasis on self-motivation and analytical skills
· Strong interpersonal skills with confidence to interact with executive-level external and internal clients
· Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
· Ability to identify and manage priorities
· Capable of multitasking and the ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
· Exhibits highly developed ability to follow up on multiple projects
· Keen problem-solving and listening skills
· Experience in the bid process with subcontractors and estimators is helpful
· Ability to read blueprints and job plans
· Able to interpret construction documents
Physical Demands and Requirements:
~Occasionally may require physical labor such as picking up and moving items up to 10lbs
~Regular office noise level
~Frequent sitting
~Some walking, carrying, bending, and stooping
