Strategic Quality Engineer II chez Andersen Corporation

POSITION SUMMARY:This position will provide engineering support by working with members of new product line development teams, and external suppliers through product commercialization. The ideal candidate will be a motivated individual who can ensure that product components and finished products meet expectations, within the project timeline. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESProvide technical support including:Measuring parts produced by fabrication or assembly equipmentAnalyzing measurement data and conducting capability studiesPerforming Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility studies (GR&R)Designing and procuring measurement gauges through the expense and / or capital expenditure processesCreating Control Plans and Work Instruction documentation and conducting trainingTransforming data from various sources into usable information for decision-makingParticipating in equipment design reviewsLeading and participating in Process Failure Mode and Affect Analysis (PFMEA) and dimensional engineering strategiesQUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS4-year engineering degree3-5 years engineering work experienceWorking knowledge of measurement tools and systems, and geometric tolerancingExperience in document creation, control, and trainingUsage of computer software tools, such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Minitab, Etc.Knowledge and use of statistics, including capability studies and Statistical Process Control (SPC)Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and standards and convert into manufacturing control plans Demonstrated ability to multitask, and work in a fast-paced agile environment WORK REQUIREMENTS Must be willing to travel up to 25% when required (primarily domestic, occasionally international)COMPENSATIONPay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process.
