Are you a logistics expert with a passion for optimizing complex supply chains? We are seeking a Lead Scheduler (for Packaged Gas) to join our team in Melbourne. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient distribution of our products while mentoring a team of planners and driving operational excellence.How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
Strategic Planning & Cost Optimisation: Optimise distribution efficiency and minimising costs to ensure excellent customer service; Control and analyse distribution costs and define new strategies to improve key ratios; Analyse trip data to improve mileage and driver efficiency.
Operational & Team Management: Manage key aspects of drivers and vehicles; such as organising driver training and managing work shifts patterns, including vacation coverage.
Process & System Improvement: Ensure performance indicators are built with accurate data and for maintaining and developing logistics tools and internal procedures; Validate software data to improve itineraries and customer stops.
Stakeholder & Contract Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for contract reviews and PG proposals; Upskill other schedulers in their respective roles and fully understand customer constraints to optimise deliveries.
Compliance & Incident Management: Ensure all heavy vehicle regulatory and legal requirements are met, and that corresponding paperwork is accurate; Investigate traffic accidents and supply interruptions and prepare contract reviews for customer claims in case of incidents.
Are you a MATCH?
Relevant tertiary or trade qualification is preferred
Up to 3 years experience in a similar capacity
Collaborative and able to operate within a multi-line reporting framework
High-level interpersonal and influencing skills
Experience in Google Suites (Advantageous)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present and communicate effectively
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new environments
