Power BI developer with ADF and Azure SQL

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Azure Data Developer with 4+ years of experience in developing and maintaining enterprise data warehousing solutions using Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Power BI. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data integration, ETL processes, data modeling, and dashboard development to support business intelligence and reporting needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
- Develop and optimize complex T-SQL scripts and stored procedures in Azure SQL Database.
- Build and publish interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to deliver insights to stakeholders.
- Design and implement data models and star/snowflake schemas for the data warehouse.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to understand data requirements.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across data sources and pipelines.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve performance of ADF pipelines and SQL queries.
- Assist in migration or integration of on-premise data sources to the Azure cloud platform.
- Maintain documentation for data models, pipelines, and reporting solutions
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in:
- Azure SQL Database (T-SQL, indexing, performance tuning)
- Azure Data Factory (ETL pipelines, data flows, linked services)
- Power BI (data modeling, DAX, report/dashboard development)
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL best practices, and BI architecture.
- Experience working with large datasets and performance optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with Azure storage solutions (Blob, Data Lake), Key Vault, and Azure DevOps is a plus.
- Experience with source control and CI/CD pipelines is desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or related certifications.
- Experience with Python, Databricks, or Synapse Analytics is a plus.
- Knowledge of data governance, data security, and compliance standards.
