POSITION SUMMARY:
- Love to cook? Join our team as a Meal Coordinator! In this position, you will prepare a wide variety of food for 10-11 residents in Long-Term Care who reside in real homes. This position will also wash and properly store dishes/flatware/cookware, and document charts/records. Your knowledge of sanitation practices, safe food handling skills, and other tricks of the trade will come in handy as you prepare delicious meals that delight our residents.
COMPENSATION:
- Based upon previous experiences and qualifications, the starting base rate of pay is $15.45 - $20.30 per hour.
AVAILABLE SCHEDULE:
Part-Time:
- 10:30 AM - 6:00 PM, every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday)
- 16 hours per pay period (every 2 weeks)

Requirements
As a condition for employment, VMRC requires all employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. If selected for a pending job offer, the candidate will be required to receive the COVID-19 vaccination(s) or provide proof of prior COVID-19 vaccination(s) before the date of hire.

- High school graduate or GED equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year experience food prep in an institutional food service environment preferred.
- Working knowledge of HACCP and OSHA protocols.
- Position requires long hours standing, and the ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
- Possess basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the basics of the English language.
- Ability to schedule time wisely and accommodate changes.
- Able to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as scheduled.
- Tactfully interact with residents, families, and the general public in a positive, professional, and customer-first manner.
- Self-motivated with the ability to perform the duties listed in the job description with limited supervision.
