Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist partners with leadership to assist with their HR business needs.
Job Responsibilities:
· Onboarding: Conducts new employee orientations guiding new hires through the onboarding process.
· Employee Relations: Acts as point of contact for employees, addressing their concerns, managing grievances, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
· Performance Management: Coordinates companywide Performance Management initiatives.
- Reporting: Provides analytical support with the creation of various reports to support ad hoc projects and initiatives, analyzes data, and makes recommendations.
- Offboarding: Conducts exit interviews
- Compensation: Develops and maintains job descriptions for each role. Conducts salary analysis for jobs.
- Benefits: Assists with the administration of benefits open enrollment.
- Efficiency: Continuously looks for ways to improve departmental efficiency by staying current in the details of all departmental processes. Suggests process improvements in coordination with the team.
- Administers all unemployment claims ensuring:
- All documentation is prepared and submitted to agencies on time
- Managers have all documentation for hearings and are supported as such to include participation in hearings if necessary
Requirements:
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college with a major in Human Resources or Business Administration.
Experience:
· 3 or more years of HR Generalist experience
· Prior experience w/ Employee Relations
· Prior experience w/ Performance Management
· Prior experience w/ FMLA
· Prior experience w/ Benefits Management
· Payroll experience (preferred but not required)
· Prior experience w/ Compliance + Policy Management
Skills:
· Must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently
· Intermediate skill using HR software
· Intermediate skill using Microsoft Office products with emphasis on Excel (pivot tables, tables, graphs, functions)
· Effective communication and presentation skills allowing you to disseminate the necessary information in the quickest and most accurate way possible
· Effective organizational skills that allow you respond to inquiries quickly with minimal effort

· Respond calmly in situations of conflict and stress
· Adapt to changes in daily work
· Problem solving in a timely manner
