Job Description:

The Position: 

A Place for Mom is seeking a Manager, Product Analytics to help lead insights collection and experimentation workstreams within our digital product portfolio.  This role will lead a team of analysts operating at the center of the tech development process, directly influencing how data is used by A Place for Mom’s technical leadership to make informed, accurate decisions about the future of our web products.

What you will do:

In this role, you will be an important thought partner with our senior technical staff around how A Place for Mom leverages our data to maximize outcomes for families and our community partners.  You will also directly manage a team of analysts responsible for measuring and forecasting performance of A Place for Mom’s various product offerings, and for instituting the data best practices required for scaling effective analytics across product verticals.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Direct ownership of reporting and insights around top-level product KPIs
  • Oversight of multiple analysts, each responsible for similar reporting and insights specific to individual product areas
  • Close collaboration with product and tech domain owners to develop event tracking specs, measurement plans, and other processes essential to building an accurate understanding of feature performance 
  • Establishing consistent processes/a ”center of excellence” around A/B experimentation and its role within the product development process
  • Cultivating a positive and collaborative analytics team culture, while mentoring early-career analysts and facilitating their skills development
  • Collaborating with Data product around the creation of tools, services, and curated datasets that enable more efficient and accurate insight generation
  • Providing empirical, quantitative evidence in support of product/tech leadership priority decisions and communications - and working hand-in-hand with senior staff to collectively build robust business cases for proposed initiatives
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in quantitative/statistics-intensive field such as Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or Computer Science
  • 6+ years of experience in applied data science and/or product analytics roles
  • Prior analytics leadership experience as manager, team lead, or equivalent with demonstrated skill at coordinating workflows of multiple individual contributors
  • Expertise with SQL plus one or more languages for data processing or statistical modeling (R, Python, etc.) 
  • Demonstrated expertise with utilizing A/B experiments to assess feature performance and guide product decision-making
  • Excellence in communicating technical information and quantitative insights to leadership audiences
  • Comfort operating in high-pace environment and with evangelizing new processes to stakeholders
Additional Information:

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $130,000 to $145,000 + 20% Bonus
