About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Director of Fabric Power BI & Python Development to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-wide analytics solutions. With over 9 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Visualization, and Advanced Analytics, you will play a critical role in transforming legacy reporting platforms into modern, scalable solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Python.
This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong stakeholder engagement. You will partner with business and technology teams to deliver actionable insights that drive performance across financial, operational, and asset management domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end development of Power BI dashboards, paginated reports, and semantic data models within Microsoft Fabric.
- Drive the migration of legacy BI platforms (Tableau, Cognos) to Power BI.
- Architect scalable data models using Star and Snowflake schemas.
- Develop advanced DAX calculations for KPIs, forecasting, and predictive analytics.
- Perform data preparation and analysis using SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL), Power Query, and Power Pivot.
- Build geospatial visualizations using Power BI and ArcGIS.
- Ensure data governance, accuracy, and secure access across BI solutions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver intuitive, impactful BI solutions.
- Lead Agile project execution, including sprint planning and documentation.
- Mentor junior developers and offshore teams on Power BI best practices.
- Partner with Sales, IT, and Operations teams to align BI solutions with business goals.
- Maintain and enhance BI infrastructure for performance, scalability, and security.
- Document standards, best practices, and operating procedures.
- Stay current with BI trends, Microsoft Fabric innovations, and emerging technologies.
Qualifications
- 9+ years of experience in IT/Analytics, with 6+ years in BI and Data Visualization.
- Expert-level proficiency in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and Power Pivot.
- Strong SQL skills (T-SQL, PL/SQL) and experience with large datasets and ETL processes.
- Deep understanding of data modeling and performance optimization.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Office365, SQL Server, and SharePoint.
- Experience with Tableau, Cognos, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
