You will assist in the smooth and efficient day to day running a busy Hire Desk function within one of our most successful depots, including the managing of orders, along with planning transport delivery and collections. The Hire Controller will provide a stand out customer service to both internal and external customers and is a key role within the team.


You areas of influence are to :


-       Ensure that customer service standards are maintained to a high standard by providing prompt, professional and courteous support during every interaction

-       Manage and respond to hire enquiries promptly and efficiently, ensuring that customer needs are accurately assessed and addressed

-       Actively promote products and services by up selling initiatives maximising revenue opportunities

-       Communicate sales leads to the Area Sales or Depot Manager, and ensure that accurate quotations are issued to customers upon request

-       Ensure that we offer an efficient and cost-effective delivery/collection service through the day-to-day management of transport

-       Monitor the accuracy of all orders inputted into the systems, ensuring that details are correct and complete to minimize errors and ensure accurate processing

-       Ensure procedure manual compliance including audit compliance

-       Consistently meet or exceed depot KPIs by driving efficiency, and ensuring alignment with Company goals

-       To liaise and communicate effectively with all levels of staff, ensuring clear, consistent and timely information

-       To create, input, maintain and archive electronic files

-       Represent the Company by embodying and promoting the Company’s values and behaviours.

To be successful we need you to be:


·         a great, effective communicator with internal and external customers

·         have an eye for detail with strong organisational skills 

·         adaptable and resilient to an ever changing events and industrial environment

·         self-motivated (of course!) and can show time management capability 

·         proficient PC skills


Desirable, but not essential, is as you would expect, namely a willingness to learn and:


·         Knowledge of Power Generation rental market.

·         Knowledge of Hire Desk Function

·         Transport Management
