About the Role

The Trade Marketing and Custom Content departments within The Trust team are responsible for internal and external communications, partnerships, and trade marketing strategy across all industry verticals for The Wall Street Journal | Barron’s Group. They also develop custom content and programs for our clients. Our mission is to drive revenue by cultivating meaningful partnerships and ensuring our products and people are visible, credible, and influential in the marketplace.

As an intern, you will work closely with the Trade Marketing Director, Anchor & Contributing Editor, and their teams to support research, strategy, content development, partnerships, campaign management, and the opportunity to support high-profile industry events and activations. 

This role is hybrid, based in our New York City office.

You Will

  • Support market research, competitive analysis, and gathering industry insights

  • Assist in the development of trade marketing strategies

  • Contribute to the creation of custom content and marketing materials

  • Support storytelling and editorial initiatives for client-facing programs

  • Assist with partnership coordination and campaign execution

  • Participate in the planning and execution of high-profile industry events and activations

  • Collaborate closely with the Trade Marketing Director, Anchor & Contributing Editor, and their teams on day-to-day initiatives

You Have

  • BY NEXT SUMMER, YOU WILL BE: either a rising junior or rising senior in your undergrad program.

  • Strong research and analytical skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Creative content creation and storytelling abilities

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work well in team settings

  • Attention to detail in both strategy and execution

  • Proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving

  • Comfort supporting event planning and execution, and potentially traveling

  • Familiarity with digital tools like Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, or Canva

  • (Bonus) Experience with project management or marketing platforms (e.g., Asana, Slack)


 

Salary: $25.00/hour
