Career Summary:
The American Nurses Enterprise (ANE) is seeking a dedicated and high-performing Program Manager, Pathway to Excellence (PTE) and Well-Being Excellence.
The Program Manager PTE and WBE provides project management expertise and analysis for the Pathway to Excellence Program® (Pathway) and Well-Being Excellence™. The Program Manager PTE and WBE will lead content development for projects and provide guidance to Pathway and Well-Being Excellence designated and organizations, commissioners, appraisers, public, and the ANCC office staff. This position is crucial to maintain the integrity and credibility of the Pathway and Well-Being Excellence Programs. The visibility of this position in the nursing community requires the incumbent to be an experienced nurse leader, comfortable with independent decision-making, project management, and coordination with all aspects of the program.

What You Will Do:
Consummate Collaboration Management:
- Ability to lead and coordinate multiple projects.
- Ability to interact with varying levels of healthcare leaders and executives;
domestic (United States of America) and international
- Ability to collaborate with leaders across the American Nurses Enterprise and
Commission on Pathway to Excellence to impact the profession of nursing.
- Support Pathway and Well-Being Excellence Operations on projects, educational
offerings, program growth, and strategic initiatives. Collaborate with the program staff, outreach manager, and leadership team to ensure high-quality customer resources and satisfaction.
- Provides expert knowledge, assessment, and recommendations for the ongoing
development and revision of Pathway and Well-Being publications, established programmatic standards, services, processes, policies, and procedures, special projects, and strategic planning.
Governance and Quality:
- Coordination of Commission on Pathway to Excellence related activities.
- Proactively evaluates requirements and needs to consistently improve operational
activities. Implement process and technology improvements, inclusive of the ODF and data governance.
- Responsible for driving program compliance of ISO 9001:2015.
- Assist with collection of metrics for quality dashboard, and preparation of board
reports and documents presented to the Commission on Pathway to Excellence.
Learning and Product Development:
- Collaborating with the Senior Program Analysts, Pathway and Well-Being Excellence Leadership
team, and Education and Program Outreach Manager to assess the learning needs of applicant organizations, both initial and re-designation as well as organizations in the Pre-Intent Program and those generally interested in the Pathway and Well-Being Excellence Programs. Based on the identified learning needs, assist in developing a variety of instructional methods that can be provided on multiple platforms, including webinars, calls, email correspondence, the website, onsite and virtual program guidance, yearly PPD meetings, and concurrent session(s) at the Pathway conference.
Trusted Advisor:
- Serves as primary resource with extensive knowledge of the Pathway and Well-Being Excellence for management, coordination, communication, assistance, guidance, leadership, and support for organizations, domestic and international, throughout all phases of an application.
- Coordinates the multifaceted appraisal process, managing the client’s application from initial application, validation, written documentation/additional documentation review, validation phase, and appeal as applicable.
- Provides independent analysis, expert guidance, and creative problem-solving to organizations related to the application of the Pathway Standards and Well-Being Excellence requirements, addressing unique organizational contexts.
- Ability to work well independently and think critically within a high-performing team.
- Requires extensive knowledge of demographic information form, Pathway and Well-Being Excellence criteria, financial considerations, and quality indicators, interfaces with Pathway and Well-Being Excellence appraisers and coordinating the appraisal process.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree and equivalent related work experience required. Note: Master’s degree preferred
Related Work Experience
A minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership experience

- Ability to prioritize, manage and complete multiple, complex projects.
- Well-developed public speaking skills. Ability to create excitement and energy around RN Initiative goals.
- Able to be out-of-town occasionally, with overnight stays. May require travel by air to national or international airports.
