We’re looking for a Managing Director, Commercial Mortgage Servicing & Closing to join our Private Real Estate Commercial Mortgage Servicing team. In this role, you’ll manage and direct Commercial Mortgage Servicing (excludes Special Servicing), Private Debt Closing, and the Debt Administration teams
- Management of up to $5 billion in annual debt closings plus a $30B commercial loan servicing portfolio inclusive of core, construction, high yield (mezzanine, B note and full debt stack) loans for affiliated, 3rd party, CMBS securitization, debt fund and private REIT clients.
- Provide leadership needed to evaluate market conditions, identify resource needs, define business plans and implement key projects. Proactively pursue opportunities for new business and product/process enhancements.
- Responsible for developing and implementing strategies, policies and practices to provide best-in-class service and execution to our borrowers and clients. Lead strategic initiatives to research, create and implement actions for improvement and success of the operations
- Maintain knowledge of the market and adapt the business to changes in the market environment. Credibly and professionally represent the line of business in the industry/market
- Manage and develop leaders and other staff to maintain growth and effectiveness. Work to foster a spirit of cooperation and teamwork across functional lines.
- Manage the investment of applicable escrow deposits in qualified investments to maximize the earnings while appropriately managing investment risks
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with evidence of a strong background in finance or business
- 15+ years of commercial real estate experience and leadership
- Commercial real estate servicing and closing experience is highly preferred

Salary Range Information:Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.Salary Range:$174000 - $236000 / yearTime Off Program:Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.Pension Eligible:NoAdditional Information:Location(s)
This role will be based out of our World Headquarters located in Des Moines, IA.
Work Environments
This role offers the ability for in-office or hybrid (blending both office and remote work in a typical workweek) work arrangements. For hybrid, a minimum of three days in the office is required. You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors
