SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Project Manager with a background in veterinary medicine or animal health to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to bridge the gap between technical teams, vendors and veterinary stakeholders, ensuring the successful delivery of projects aligned with the strategic goals of the company.

 

This role is responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, such as:

  • Implementation of veterinary software solutions (including PIMS)
  • Adoption of new digital platforms for animal health management
  • Integration of technological tools within veterinary practices
  • Enhancement of data management and analysis systems in veterinary care

We are a people-centered organization, and you will regularly interact with project team members, vendors, and stakeholders.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Technical Project Manager will lead and manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery within scope and in alignment with strategic goals. This includes developing project plans, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements, and managing risks and challenges. The role requires the implementation of project management methodologies to organize functional teams and vendors while tracking and reporting on progress. Other responsibilities include fostering collaboration, communicating updates, performing post-implementation reviews, and staying updated on veterinary technology trends.

A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of project management experience is required. Candidates must have demonstrated experience in technical settings and/or implementing veterinary or human health software, along with expertise in areas like SDLC, cloud platforms, and databases. An understanding of veterinary workflows and familiarity with veterinary practice management software are essential. Key skills include leadership, communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, experience with Agile methodologies and tools, and adaptability.

 

Preferred Experience and Education

Preferred qualifications include project management certifications, experience with emerging technologies in animal health, familiarity with budgeting and vendor management, and with various veterinary practice management systems.

Travel Requirements

Occasional travel possible, up to monthly
