Job Description:The Logistics Coordinator plays a strategic and hands-on role in managing the inbound supply chain and supporting critical customer service operations. This position ensures efficient transportation across all modes and maintains compliance with domestic and international trade regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, qualify, and manage relationships with freight carriers; coordinate shipment dispatch across air, ocean, rail, truck, and parcel.
Analyze transportation performance and costs using various tools to optimize shipping methods and ensure on-time delivery.
Maintain compliance with international shipping regulations, including HTS classification, export codes, and proper documentation.
Prepare and manage export documentation such as Bills of Lading and commercial invoices.
Maintain accurate records and electronic filing systems for all logistics and trade compliance transactions.
Collaborate with internal departments (Engineering, Vendors, Assembly, Fabrication, Stockroom) to ensure seamless logistics operations.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations.
- Proficiency in ERP systems; SAP experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Formal training or certification in Global Trade Compliance.
- Experience using transportation management systems (TMS) and trade compliance software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work cross-functionally and build strong internal/external relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Customer service mindset with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- May require walking through warehouse or manufacturing environments.
Compensation for roles at Syntegon varies depending on a wide array of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, degree/credentials, relevant skill set, and level of relevant experience.
