Position Summary
The Marketing Support Specialist serves as a key organizational storyteller by developing branded high-quality presentations for the CEO and executive leadership. This position is responsible for the creation of presentations for a variety of purposes including industry events, monthly board meetings, partner discussions, and staff meetings. A cornerstone of this role is the ability to research and analyze housing data and to communicate complex information in a manner that is concise and easily accessible to many audiences. In addition to creating crisp visually appealing presentations, the Marketing Support Specialist will provide administrative support for all CEO speaking engagements, collaborate with the Social Media Specialist on content and event promotion, and work with the Brand Manager and Graphic Designer to ensure brand standards. This position reports to the Senior Director of Marketing and Communications.
The Marketing Support Specialist has an analytical mind with a strong ability to synthesize and simplify complex data. This team player has exceptional storytelling skills for creating narratives that drive understanding and engagement. Outstanding presentation skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to multitask and proactively follow through on issues are essential. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills are critical. The Marketing Support Specialist demonstrates sound judgment and a high level of discretion when managing sensitive and confidential information. MassHousing operates under a hybrid work model; therefore, employees are expected to work on-site according to a schedule determined in collaboration with their manager and based on the needs of the role. To support effective onboarding, new employees may be required to work in the office more frequently during their first 90 days.
Essential Functions
Presentation Development
•Support the efforts of the CEO to raise awareness of MassHousing, its mission and programs
•Anticipate the needs of the CEO for specific events and take the lead in proposing visuals, data, and content
•Conduct research and gather data for all presentations
•Provide research to the Director of Communications and Public Relations to enhance CEO messaging and talking points
•Develop tools to support non-formal presentations
•Ensure error-free appealing presentations are created in a timely manner
Research and Data Analysis
•Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data and research findings into clear, compelling presentations that inform executive decision-making and strategic planning
Marketing Support
•Facilitate the promotion of events, speaking engagements, and awards
•Help plan special events and provide logistic support for programing related to homeownership, multifamily, and the climate bank
•Collaborate with the Brand Manager and Graphic Designer to develop and maintain design standards and support the implementation of content automation tools
•Participate in the development and maintenance of a centralized content library
Administrative Support
•Create standardized decks to be adapted and updated per audience
•Maintain directory and database of all presentations, talking points, and event briefing sheets
•Assist in the training and implementation of design standards, content automation tools, and data management practices
Security
•Comply with MassHousing’s Information Security Program and all other Agency information security policies and procedures
•Take responsibility for any Agency assets assigned to you
•Promptly report any security events, incidents, or weaknesses to MassHousing’s Information Security Team
Minimum Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Market Research, Instructional Design, or a related field
•3+ work experience including research, writing and editing
•Proven experience in creating high-quality PowerPoint presentations and concise visual aids (charts, tables, slides) for executive-level audiences
•Eligibility to work in, and travel freely to and from, the United States without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
•Understanding of design principles, typographic, and branding
•Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud suite of products
Salary Range: $60,522.72 - $75,653.40
MassHousing has a hybrid work policy. Employees will be required to report to the office at One Beacon on a schedule to be determined with their supervisor depending on the needs of the position. However, during the first 90 days, the employee may be expected in the office more frequently for training and onboarding.
