Primary Duties/Brief Description of Work:
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual to serve as a crew leader who is passionate about building better lives and a better community. This individual will be expected to perform all maintenance tasks necessary to assure the health, aesthetics, and overall playability of the Bryan Park Soccer Complex and Park Areas. The crew leader will be part of a 12-person maintenance team, and will report to the crew supervisor.
This position is service critical and requires occasional nights and weekends. This position will report to the crew supervisor, but will be expected to lead and manage staff in the field. Will be expected to learn EAM systems and rec trak systems, which are work order and field reservation software. This is a leadership position and will be expected to know all aspects of athletic field maintenance and be able to train new employees on field preparation and equipment use. If the crew supervisor is absent, the crew leader will be expected to hand out daily assignments and make sure deadlines are met.
The successful candidate must be able to use and operate hand tools, mechanical equipment and power tools and equipment required for the work in a safe and efficient manner. Able to maintain physical condition sufficient to perform duties that may include standing, walking, or kneeling for extended periods of time, lifting or moving moderate to heavy weights and equipment, and operating assigned vehicles and equipment.

What You Bring:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED with 1 to 3 years of experience in Athletic Field Maintenance
- Valid Driver’s License
- NC Pesticide License “OR” ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience running a crew, managing staff
- Horticulture or Turfgrass Management (or similar) degree
- Experience applying chemicals and fertilizers
- Previous experience laying out and painting fields
- Previous soccer field maintenance
- Experience with EAM Work-Order System or related access software
- Experience operating GPS line painting equipment
