Qualifications & Experience:

🔍 About the Role

The Guest Experience Supervisor plays a key leadership role within the attraction, overseeing front-line operations and ensuring that every guest enjoys a safe, fun, and magical experience. This role is deeply involved in the day-to-day running of the Guest Experience team, with hands-on, shoulder-to-shoulder leadership.

You’ll also serve as a Duty Manager, overseeing the full attraction and working collaboratively across departments to keep everything running smoothly! 🏗️

🌟 What You'll Do

  • 🧡 Deliver exceptional guest service, aligned with Merlin’s Guest Obsession standards.

  • 🎤 Lead daily briefings, motivate your team, and foster open communication.

  • 🧍‍♂️ Be floor-based — lead by example and stay involved in the action!

  • 🎯 Support team development through coaching, performance feedback, and mentorship.

  • 🎁 Partner with leadership to create incentives and rewards that keep the team energized.

  • 🧠 Ensure safety procedures and operational standards are followed to the letter.

  • 📆 Manage team schedules, training, and onboarding for new hires.

  • 🔍 Monitor and evaluate the guest experience across all touchpoints — suggest improvements!

  • 🛠️ Troubleshoot issues on the floor, resolve guest concerns, and champion service recovery.

  • 💡 Inspire creativity and welcome innovative ideas from your team!

  • 🏆 Support KPIs and secondary spend goals with smart, guest-focused strategies.

👥 Team Leadership

  • 🤝 Set clear expectations, provide timely feedback, and recognize wins.

  • 🎓 Lead the training strategy for new and current team members.

  • 🚀 Help develop career pathways and performance plans.

  • 📢 Communicate clearly and consistently across all levels.

🛒 Operational & Administrative Duties

  • 🧾 Monitor inventory levels, track product scores, and report guest dwell time.

  • 📊 Assist in analyzing performance metrics to drive business improvements.

  • 🏗️ Coordinate with other departments to ensure optimal coverage and smooth operations.

  • 🎯 Assist with appraisals, reviews, and setting team objectives.

📚 What You Bring to the Build Table

  • 🎓 High school diploma or GED required.

  • 👥 At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a guest-facing environment (retail, hospitality, attractions, etc.).

  • 🗣️ Excellent communication and people management skills.

  • 💪 Ability to lead under pressure while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor.

  • 🛍️ Proven sales skills with a passion for enhancing guest experiences.

  • 💻 Experience using POS/till systems and basic computer tools.

  • ⚡ Great multitasking skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities with ease.

🚨 Health, Safety & Security

  • 🛡️ Always ensure a safe working environment for team and guests, following Merlin Entertainments Group Health & Safety policies.

  • ✅ Must report and support investigations into incidents, and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • 🧯 Maintain compliance with licensing, risk assessments, and training records.

Working Conditions

  • Must be flexible to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Attendance is mandatory — your presence on the floor makes the magic happen!

  • Physical demands include: standing/walking for extended periods, lifting up to 70 lbs, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs/ladders, and using PPE as required.

  • You may be exposed to varying temperatures, noise levels, and lighting conditions throughout the attraction.
