Weyerhaeuser is currently searching for a leader to fill the role of Night Shift Mill Supervisor at Millport, AL Lumber Mill. The Mill Supervisor position is a full-time, exempt position and reports to the Department Superintendent.
As Mill Supervisor, you will provide leadership excellence to a shift of hourly associates in achieving safety, quality and production goals. You will also safely plan, coordinate, and maintain operational schedules and support maintenance to ensure continuous process improvement. You will be accountable and responsible for delivering results in the areas of Safety, Utilization, Value Delivery, and Costs in the Mill. Additional responsibilities include coordinating team training, certification of employee skills, building employee relations, and managing planer safety & environmental requirements.
Key Functions
Role model our safety standards and on-the-job behavior by living our core principles of integrity, fairness, creating a positive work environment, and ensuring open communication among associates
Ensure compliance with all applicable Weyerhaeuser, federal, state, and local laws and regulations
Develop and lead team meetings and training, identifying safety, quality and production issues, coordinate activities with maintenance team, and taking measures to proactively address all concerns
Proactively resolve employee issues
