We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Director / Derivative Trade Support specialist in the Derivatives Trade Support team of MSIM (Morgan Stanley Investment Management) group to oversee daily derivative trade processing which includes timely trade affirmation and trade notification for a variety of derivative instruments including futures, options, credit derivatives, interest rate swaps and equity swaps while serving as a main contact point for the Equity and Fixed Income traders.
In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is a Team Specialist position within the Product Support & Services group, which is responsible for providing transaction support and managing post execution processes.

What you'll do in the role:
- Serve as a subject matter expert within functional area, working with Team Manager to manage processes, risks and/or projects, proposing and implementing improvements/change.
- Act as key problem solver for area or expertise, applying detailed knowledge to address unique or novel situations, recognize risks and draw out key issues.
- Coordinate work, train and develop other team members where required, including task allocation, and project contribution.
- As an individual contributor perform daily functional responsibilities focused on derivative trade processing, block trade allocation communication, trade affirmation, trade confirmation and trade notification.
- Liaise with Fixed Income and Equity traders to resolve derivative trade discrepancies.
- Reconcile positions and market values for Swaps, Options, and Forward FXs with counterparties and fund accountants.
- Escalate material breaks or breaks which could lead to a NAV error or incorrect valuation to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide standard and ad-hoc reporting to the Derivatives teams in Europe and North America.

- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of functional area and operational/compliance policies and procedures of their team.
- Ability to operate independently across the majority of day-to-day responsibilities.

- 8+ Years of experience with minimum of 6 years’ experience in Trade Support Middle office.
- The candidate should possess a strong knowledge and experience of Derivatives in ETD as well as OTC products preferably but not limited to Rates, Credit, Options, FX-Option/Forward, NDF and ability to understand complex financial products, system, flows.
- Experience in Middle Office environment.
- Deep understanding of investment bank products with high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and good organization skills.
