Derivative Onboarding and KYC_Director_Product Support & Services IM (EMEA Shift) chez Morgan Stanley

We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Director in the Derivative Onboarding and KYC Team of MSIM (Morgan Stanley Investment Management) Derivative Operations group to onboard new clients & funds for derivative trading, and manage account relationships with counterparties, clearing brokers and vendors.

In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is an Advanced Specialist position at Director level within the Product Support & Services group, which is responsible for providing transaction support and managing post execution processes.

What you'll do in the role:

• Manage complex processes and/or support significant process management/project efforts.
• Lead in process improvement, project management or technology development and testing across multiple teams and/or divisions.
• Analyze and expose ambiguous, complex issues or non-standard issues, identify risks, root causes and propose future actions, tracking through to resolution.
• Build and manage relationships with business unit partners, other Morgan Stanley infrastructure departments, and external contact points in Client or Market organizations.
• Manage account relationships with counterparties, clearing brokers, and vendors, overseeing global risk control functions integral to the department, including Derivative Legal Agreement Management , KYC (Know Your Customer) Support  and Counterparty Credit Risk Reporting .
• Understand key regulatory changes that impact derivative operations and work with internal teams to ensure regulatory demands are met.
• Assist with daily processing responsibilities focused on counterparty credit risk, OTC trade confirmation, and the operational functions required to comply with and handle a wide scope of derivative legal agreements.

• Front-to-back knowledge of the processes, projects, systems, markets and instruments that influence their team with a comprehensive understanding of job-related operational/compliance policies and procedures.
• Ability to think commercially, understand the impact of initiatives, risks on the operational budget.
• Ability to address non-standard issues within area of expertise.
• Culture carrier and role model, representing and leading the Firm's core values to influence and motivate those around you.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in financial sector and 3–5 years’ experience in similar role. 
• Comprehensive understanding of the investment industry and diverse derivative products, including OTC confirmations, ISDA agreements, and counterparty credit risk. 
• Thorough knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks governing client confidentiality and KYC requirements. 
• Proven ability to perform successfully in high volume, high intensity environments, resolving issues promptly and efficiently. 
• Track record of effective collaboration across geographic, functional, and diverse teams.
