Key Responsibilities

  • Design, architect, and develop Android-based solutions for in-vehicle connectivity systems from concept to release
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of Android applications
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Project Managers, and Vehicle System Leads to align technical execution with overall strategy
  • Write product requirements using tools like DOORS or JIRA, and translate them into epics and user stories for Agile development teams
  • Contribute to Android middleware development including services, AIDL, content providers, Car Network / Service layers, and broadcast receivers
  • Integrate cloud messaging APIs and protocols such as MQTT and HTTP for push notifications
  • Troubleshoot and debug software issues, delivering timely resolutions
  • Establish effective communication and coordination with internal stakeholders, partners, and suppliers

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3–6 years of experience in automotive software development
  • Minimum 3–4 years of hands-on coding and debugging experience in Android and C/C++
  • Proficient in Android Automotive, Kotlin, Java, and C/C++
  • Experience in Android middleware development and system integration
  • Strong experience with requirement management tools like DOORS and JIRA
  • Hands-on experience with cloud messaging APIs, MQTT, and HTTP communication
  • Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional and cross-organizational teams

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant discipline

Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have)

  • Exposure to Automotive Security domains
  • Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (unit and module level testing)
  • Experience in Agile Scrum environments using Atlassian tools
  • Hands-on knowledge of Git and version control systems
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for Android software development
