About the Role 

This position will improve the Chicago Bears use of data and models by driving fan engagement and personalization through the implementation of advanced AI/ML modeling to optimize revenue streams. This role will focus on developing predictive business analytics data products, emphasizing the creation and enhancement of statistical models that drive desired results. 

 

Utilize statistics and machine learning techniques to make predictions and answer key business decisions. Deliver value by analyzing data and communicating the results and insights with key stakeholders to make decisions. Manage implementation of AI tools, within the realm of sales, operations and fan engagement data. This role works out the Chicago Bears headquarters in Lake Forest, IL and will require working all Bears home games.

Responsibilities 

  • Develop predictive models and simulations to analyze complex, large-scale datasets and uncover insights to improve customer experience, revenue generation, cost efficiency, capital investment effectiveness, and automation utilization.
  • Create compelling data visualizations that communicate end-to-end system performance and identify optimization opportunities. 
  • Establish robust data analysis frameworks and KPIs to quantify the impact of your solutions and evaluate tradeoffs between potentially contending goals. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to understand their needs, translate them into data-driven projects, and deliver impactful results. 
  • Work with data engineering team to fill gaps from a data collection standpoint to enhance predictive and prescriptive analytics. 
  • Assist in building custom AI solutions to optimize revenue generation and streamline sales efforts.

 

Qualifications 

  • Masters’ degree required in statistics, computer science, econometrics, mathematics, or other statistical discipline.
  • 4-5 years’ experience with data exploration, handling large data sets, and building advanced statistical models.
  • Highly skilled in developing, deploying, and maintaining predictive and advanced analytic models (supervised and unsupervised) using R/Python, with strong abilities in tracking and optimizing model performance.
  • Expert in SQL (AWS / Snowflake) and data exploration, capable of independently analyzing databases and metadata to understand available data.
  • Adept at translating complex data problems into actionable business insights for stakeholders, and experienced in creating professional, real-time dashboards using Tableau and programming languages like R/Python.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate through data using clear and concise summaries and reports.
  • Detailed-oriented and curious thinker who can manage multiple projects at once.
  • Able to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

COMPETITIVE INDUSTRY PAY 

The Data Scientist is a full-time non-contract position. This position is a SALARY (exempt) role.  

 

The expected salary range for this role is $100,000- $120,000/per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and other job-related factors.
