Job Description:Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Integration Architect with deep expertise in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform to design, implement, and govern enterprise integration solutions. The Integration Architect will play a key role in defining the integration strategy, ensuring scalability, reusability, and security of APIs and integration assets, while enabling digital transformation across the organization. This role requires strong architectural leadership, hands-on MuleSoft knowledge, and the ability to collaborate across business and IT stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Design
- Define and lead the enterprise integration strategy using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
- Design API-led integration architecture (Experience APIs, Process APIs, System APIs).
- Create integration blueprints, reusable frameworks, and patterns for scalability and governance.
- Ensure adherence to enterprise standards for security, compliance, performance, and availability.
- Provide architecture oversight for complex, multi-system integration projects.
Delivery & Implementation
- Lead solution design and provide technical guidance to MuleSoft developers.
- Oversee the development, testing, and deployment of APIs and integrations.
- Ensure best practices in API lifecycle management, error handling, logging, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and environment management.
- Troubleshoot integration issues and guide teams on performance optimization.
Governance & Strategy
- Establish and enforce API governance policies (naming conventions, versioning, security).
- Drive reusability of APIs and shared assets across business units.
- Partner with enterprise architects to align integration roadmaps with business strategy.
- Contribute to Center of Excellence (CoE) for MuleSoft and integration best practices.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with business stakeholders, application teams, and IT leadership to define integration requirements.
- Translate business needs into scalable integration solutions.
- Provide thought leadership on digital transformation, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
- 10+ years overall IT experience with 5+ years in integration architecture.
- Strong hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Design Center, Runtime Manager, API Manager, Exchange).
- Expertise in API-led connectivity, microservices, and SOA principles.
- Knowledge of integration patterns (synchronous, asynchronous, messaging, event-driven).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid integration models.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps) for MuleSoft deployments.
- Understanding of security frameworks (OAuth 2.0, JWT, SAML, TLS, data encryption).
- Strong knowledge of data formats and protocols (JSON, XML, REST, SOAP, JMS, Kafka).
- Experience with governance, monitoring, and API analytics.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect – Level 1 (or higher).
- Experience in Salesforce, SAP, or other major enterprise systems integration.
- Familiarity with Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) and streaming platforms (Kafka, Azure Event Hub).
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and API gateways.
- Prior experience setting up or contributing to an Integration Center of Excellence (CoE).
Salary: USD $180,000 - $200,000 Gross (Includes base + bonuses) + Nagarro Standard Benefits
