Program Coordinator Skill Up!*
in Bonn
The position is to be filled by Decemper 1, 2025, with a fixed term until March 31, 2027. Employment location will be Bonn, Germany.
The aim of Welthungerhilfe's (WHH) Skill Up! programme is to strengthen the employability of vulnerable young people through (non-formal) vocational training in order to increase their chances of earning an appropriate income and improving their quality of life. As Program Coordinator Skill Up!, you will be responsible for coordinating the francophone Skill Up! programme and work in close coordination with the francophone Skill Up! coordinators to ensure coherence and synergy across the programme. As the implementation in francophone countries is already in the final phase, you will also be responsible for starting up a new phase of the Skill Up! Program.
Your responsibilities
Monitor and coordinate activities at country level, including partner and consultant contracts, in close cooperation with the respective WHH country offices
Support the capacity building of partner organisations and WHH in the Skill Up! approach and its implementation through the design and delivery of training, (virtual) exchanges and tools/guidelines
Reporting on the ongoing private funded francophone Skill Up! programme
Ensure effective and transparent use of financial resources for timely reporting in accordance with donor regulations and WHH policies and procedures, including reporting to private donors
Ensure quality control through an effective monitoring system in collaboration with the MEAL team at headquarters and in the countries
Design, develop proposals, prepare projects and launch a follow-up phase to the current Skill Up! programme
Document and consolidate the visibility of the entire global Skill Up! programme (english & french)
Consolidate reports and other programme-related publications for the new phase of the entire global Skill Up! programme (anglophone and francophone) in close coordination with the Skill Up! sub team and other WHH units (such as communications unit and partnership & philantrophy)
Act as contact person for external networks, manage and maintain cooperation with international partners and ensure visibility of the programme
Manage and maintain a network of Skill Up! programme stakeholders, including an exchange platform and accessible data management and storage
Oversee and manage horizontal learning and exchange through the Skill Up! programme in close collaboration with the Skill Up! sub team
Develop and document key findings and recommendations from the Skill Up! programme and support the Technical Advisor for Skills Development in integrating the Skill Up! findings into the design of the skills development sector
Your profile
A university or college degree in the field of (adult) education or comparable qualification
- Proven experience in Program Cycle Management, especially phase out and phase in of programs
Profound experience in the field of adult education, preferably in the field of vocational education and training
Experience in working with large scale individual donors or charity foundations is an asset
Proven experience in the design and implementation of training and moderation processes and measures to promote mutual learning
Experience in the cooperation with civil society partner organizations in countries of the Global South desirable
- Technical skills in the development of MEAL systems, with a focus on educational processes
You recognize the growing value of data in your field and are eager to build your awareness and skills to incorporate data-informed approaches into your work.
Readiness to receive necessary vaccinations for working in Welthungerhilfe's programme countries
Excellent spoken and written English and French language skills; knowledge of German would be an advantage
