AWE is looking for a Proficient Senior Project Planner to support its delivery of a range of complex and interesting manufacturing projects.
Starting Salary: £49,830 to £67,000 negotiable depending on experience
Location: located between Reading and Basingstoke – 100% Onsite working is required for this role
Introducing the role:
Proficiency with planning software is really important as a planner at AWE and may be assessed as part of the recruitment journey.
As a Senior Project Planner, you will work within a project controls team to support a range of diverse projects that include cutting edge technology, to ensure the correct capabilities, models, processes, codes that are essential to deliver our mission.
2-5yrs true planning experience is required and planning proficiency will be tested as part of your recruitment journey.
Your day as a Senior Project Planner with AWE could look like this:
Leading on and contributing to the creation of project baselines, adding value to performance reporting and forecasting and assessment of sub-contractor schedule submissions.
Collaborating with Project Managers and some really innovative specialists, to guide them on management and control project delivery. You will be contributing to project business cases and change control process, risk and opportunity process and peer reviews.
As a Senior Project Planner, along with proficiency in planning tools, we’d like you to have the following skills or experience:
Required:
- 2-5yrs true planning experience:
- You need to understand planning and have experience delivering a project utilising the following :- network logic, float paths, WBS/CBS creation, possibly EVM, resource levelling, monthly update cycle, change control, What-If, fragnets etc
- Be able to make good judgement calls on planning.
- Needs to understand the role of a planner, it’s requirements each month and be able to deliver to the business rhythm.
- Experience in highly regulated industry beneficial (nuclear/oil/construction)
- Candidates need strong prioritisation skills and be able to focus on varied and changing priorities.
- Good IT skills, including Excel as a must.
