Property Solutions Group (PSG) - San Diego, CA

At PSG, we apply our deep understanding of residential property management to provide tailored property management support services to our clients. Currently, we provide comprehensive accounting, HR, Marketing, Legal, Risk Management, IT, and Business Systems services to two management firms that manage close to 20,000 apartments in five states.

About this role: 

The Director of Technology and Business Systems is a strategic technology leader responsible for driving operational excellence, data integration, innovation and process optimization across Property Solutions Group's multi-entity ecosystem. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role combines hands-on technical leadership with strategic vision to advance PSG's technology capabilities while supporting our property management clients' growth objectives. 

This position leads a team of technology specialists, manages key client relationships at the leadership level, manages IT vendor relationships, and ensures our technology infrastructure effectively supports 485+ users across multiple business units spanning five states. The Director balances strategic planning and innovation with tactical execution, focusing on identifying challenges and opportunities, identifying and/or developing scalable solutions, completing projects, building efficiencies, and enabling data-driven decision making. 

Salary range:

$125,000K - $155,000K DOE

What you’ll do includes, but not limited to: 

Strategic Technology Leadership

  • Develop, execute and maintain a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with PSG's objectives and client needs and growth plans
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve operational efficiency and deliver measurable business value
  • Partner with client leadership to identify needs and opportunities, continuously assess emerging technologies and recommend enhancements and solutions that enhance customer and client experiences and maintain or increase competitive advantages
  • Champion data integration projects that enhance decision-making capabilities across all business units
  • Drive completion of in-progress technology initiatives while maintaining focus on long-term strategic goals

Team Development & Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 3-4 technology specialists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
  • Establish clear performance metrics, accountability frameworks, and professional development pathways

Business Systems Excellence

  • Manage the company’s tech stack; oversee enterprise applications including property management systems (Entrata, AppFolio, etc.), Microsoft 365, and numerous integrated business platforms
  • Lead the creation of technology policies, procedures, guidelines, and training that support industry best practices
  • Ensure seamless technology operations supporting clients’ multi-state property management activities and shared services delivery

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years progressive IT experience with at least 2 years in a management or supervisor capacity.
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into technology solutions and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong project management skills with track record of completing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing vendor relationships.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise business systems, particularly property management platforms preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 ecosystem, cloud infrastructure, and system integrations. 
  • A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, and coursework in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field is preferred.
