The Role
As Planning Manager, you will work closely with the Head of Operations and is responsible for managing the site inventory and working with Group Procurement to ensure the right quantity of products arrive in the right place, at the right time and cost. Working with the Central Planning team to improve processes, and maximise the optimum plan for the site stock, service and operational KPI.
This role is based at our Tullamore site 5 days a week.

The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience (2+ years) in production or supply planning management, within FMCG, ideally within a protein production site.
- Strong Excel and data interpretation skills, proven experience with SAP or similar purchasing systems
- Ability to flex and adapt plans in line with real-time business changes.
- A collaborative, cross-functional approach, with confidence working across planning, procurement, and operations.
- Understanding of operational capacities and the impact of demand variability.
- A drive for continuous improvement in systems, processes, and performance.
- Clear, confident communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the site meets goals for relevant service level, days of inventory on hand, purchase order advancing, and others as established by the management team.
- Collaborate with site planning and operations teams to overcome capacity constraints and improve line efficiencies.
- Track run rates, product specifications, provenance, and welfare requirements at site level.
- Act as the link between demand planning, procurement, and daily site scheduling.
- Work closely with procurement teams to secure the right meat, ingredients, packaging, and logistics resources.
- Review and enhance planning systems and processes, driving efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Support schedulers with plan vs. actual performance, improving forecasting accuracy and yields.
- Enhance material supply quality, demand alignment, and carcass/grade utilisation.
- Build capability across planning functions, supporting cross-team development and understanding.
