Specific Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in the month-end and year-end close process including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
- Enter and maintain general ledger transactions with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
- Assist in maintaining intercompany accounts and reconciling intercompany balances across entities
- Help prepare internal financial reports, including variance analysis and supporting schedules
- Compile and validate financial data used in the preparation of financial statements
- Assist in the organization and review of general ledger transactions, ensuring proper coding and classification
- Support the preparation of audit schedules and respond to internal or external review inquiries
- Assist in maintaining and updating documentation for internal procedures and controls
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering data and supporting financial analysis
- Provide backup support to the Accounting Supervisor and the Accounting Managers for recurring tasks and reporting deliverables
- Perform special projects and additional duties as developed by the Chief Accounting Officer, Accounting Managers or Accounting Supervisor
- Perform other related duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; Master’s Degree preferred
- 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a high-volume environment; internship experience will be considered
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and general ledger accounting principles
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills required; experience with ERP systems a plus
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset
- Effective communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and grow in the accounting profession
