Accounting Associate na NexAir

Specific Job Responsibilities:

• Participate in the month-end and year-end close process including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
• Enter and maintain general ledger transactions with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
• Assist in maintaining intercompany accounts and reconciling intercompany balances across entities
• Help prepare internal financial reports, including variance analysis and supporting schedules
• Compile and validate financial data used in the preparation of financial statements
• Assist in the organization and review of general ledger transactions, ensuring proper coding and classification
• Support the preparation of audit schedules and respond to internal or external review inquiries
• Assist in maintaining and updating documentation for internal procedures and controls
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering data and supporting financial analysis
• Provide backup support to the Accounting Supervisor and the Accounting Managers for recurring tasks and reporting deliverables
• Perform special projects and additional duties as developed by the Chief Accounting Officer, Accounting Managers or Accounting Supervisor
• Perform other related duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; Master’s Degree preferred
• 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a high-volume environment; internship experience will be considered
• Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and general ledger accounting principles
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills required; experience with ERP systems a plus
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
• Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset
• Effective communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and grow in the accounting profession
