Essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Planning and Operations
• Understands and promotes the Jim ‘N Nick’s BAR-B-Q culture, stays abreast of information technology and competitive
issues/events, uses industry knowledge to benefit the organization.
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Jim ‘N Nick’s BAR-B-Q operations, systems and strategic business plans.
• Keep VP of IT and Operations leadership updated and informed. This includes developing strong cross-functional
relationships and managing cross-functional projects.
• Coordinate with a cross functional group to evaluate system capabilities and translate operational requirements into
configuration changes.
• Work cross-functionally throughout the organization to support the information technology strategies and to educate and
gain support for key IT infrastructure and support initiatives.
• Proactively partners with Jim ‘N Nick’s BAR-B-Q operations leadership and IT team to ensure technology initiatives are
executed correctly and tools are in place to enhance operational efficiency.
• Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required from time to time.
Restaurant Systems Application Management
• Lead the administration, updates, and optimization of the JNN Point of Sale system, including food and alcohol menu
updates, pricing changes, and promotional modifications, ensuring seamless functionality and consistency across all
restaurant locations.
• Oversee the integration and performance of related restaurant systems, including QSR KDS, HME & PAR Drive-Thru systems,
third-party delivery applications, and online ordering platforms, driving system enhancements and efficiency.
• Supervise vendor relationships and service level agreements (SLAs) for restaurant system application support, ensuring
prompt resolution of technical issues and maintaining high service quality.
• Provide strategic oversight for Tier 3 support, guiding the technical resolution of complex restaurant system issues and
ensuring operational continuity.
• Collaborate with the Manager of Back of House Systems to align Aloha POS integrations and other supporting technologies
with interfaced third-party software, promoting cohesive and reliable system operations.
• Foster cross-training initiatives to maintain operational coverage and technical expertise within the IT team, ensuring
redundancy and support for critical functions.
• Lead and support restaurant systems projects and strategic initiatives, working closely with IT leadership to implement
innovative solutions and technology upgrades.
• Cultivate a culture of continuous learning and technological advancement, staying informed of emerging industry trends and
guiding the adoption of new methods and systems to enhance restaurant technology operations.
Financial Management
• Creating and presenting business cases and ROI statements for IT software investments.
• Provide guidance and recommendations to the VP of IT and other senior leaders of the IT department for applications related line items during IT budgeting cycles.
• Track all store system-related spend against approved IT budgets.
• Escalate critical application issues in a timely and appropriate manner that may materially impact the IT budget
• Manage relationships with 3rd party vendors, including negotiation of contract terms and fees.
• Prepare timely and detailed reports on technology performance on a quarterly and annual basis.
• Develop documentation of procedures and recommendations for process improvements.

Qualifications
Education / Training / Work Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of professional experience in IT, with strong preference for restaurant technology experience
• 2+ years of proven leadership at a senior level directing a team of manager direct reports and associate staff. Experience in
restaurant or retail preferred.
• Hands-on expertise of Restaurant POS and KDS systems
• Experience with helpdesk management systems.
• Ability to communicate new ideas, educate and elevate knowledge within the IT team.
• Must have proven business and technology skills, with success providing customer-oriented technology solutions
environment.

Physical Requirements
• Some lifting and the movement of moderate loads require a 30-pound lifting requirement.
• Responsible for utilizing office equipment. The effective operation of equipment requires the use of all limbs, fingers and the
ability to see.
• Spends approximately 20% of his/her time standing and walking swiftly, therefore, he/she must have the ability to bend,
stoop, kneel, and move freely using all limbs and seeing at close/long distances.
• Attend meetings, conferences, workshops, etc. as well as visit Jim ‘N Nick’s BAR-B-Q locations, vendors, etc.; therefore,
he/she must be able to travel autonomously, possibly to other geographical locations, in inclement weather, with little to no
prior notification given.
• Must be able work under a high degree of stress on a physical, mental and emotional level; this includes performing work in a
fast-paced manner and making timely decisions.
