Rock West Composites, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Recruiter.
Rock West Composites, Inc. is an engineering and manufacturing company dedicated to providing innovative solutions for commercial and government customers. We provide cradle-to-grave services for primary and secondary composite structures. This position is located in our San Diego, CA office and reports to the Talent Acquisition Manager.
Position Summary:
The Recruiter is responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process, from identifying and engaging top talent to conducting interviews and extending offers. This role is critical in shaping a positive candidate experience and strengthening our employer brand, ensuring we attract, hire, and retain the best talent to drive our company’s success.
Essential Functions:
- Manage full cycle recruiting across multiple sites and business units, from requisition intake to offer acceptance.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand requirements, advise on job descriptions and compensation, and provide strategic talent recommendations.
- Execute proactive sourcing strategies using internal tools, job boards, networking, and professional organizations to attract hard-to-find skillsets, particularly in aerospace engineering.
- Screen resumes, conduct interviews (phone, video, and in-person), and evaluate candidates based on consistent criteria.
- Complete employment verifications and perform professional reference checks to confirm candidate qualifications and prior work performance.
- Provide hiring managers with shortlists of qualified candidates and guide interview and selection processes.
- Coordinate interviews, including scheduling, travel, and logistics.
- Lead salary negotiations, offer delivery, and candidate closing to ensure successful hires.
- Maintain compliance with federal and state employment laws, including OFCCP and EEOC guidelines.
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners (colleges, agencies, industry associations) and represent the company at job fairs and recruiting events.
- Deliver a strong candidate experience, ensuring timely communication and engagement throughout the process.

Required Education and Experience:
- BA/BS degree in Business, Communications, Human Resources, or related field (preferred).
- 6+ years of in-house recruiting experience, including technical and operational roles.
- At least 3 years of experience recruiting for aerospace engineering or highly technical roles preferred.
- Strong knowledge of recruiting compliance and fair hiring practices (OFCCP/EEOC).
- Experience recruiting in a multi-site, multi-state organization.
- Excellent communication, relationship management, and organizational skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

Compensation:
The pay range for this position falls within $85,000-$95,000 annually. The final compensation will be determined based on experience, skillset, and other factors permitted by law.
