As a Sonographer, you’ll play a vital role in diagnosing and supporting treatment plans for patients across a wide range of clinical areas. You’ll be part of a dynamic team that values your expertise and encourages continuous learning.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures including abdominal, obstetrical/gynecological, vascular, pediatric, and more
  • Operate advanced ultrasound equipment and ensure high-quality imaging
  • Collaborate with Radiologists and Physicians to support accurate diagnoses
  • Prepare and guide patients through procedures with empathy and clarity
  • Support biopsies and aspiration procedures
  • Mentor students and new staff, contributing to a culture of learning
  • Participate in quality assurance, research, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Work across KHSC sites and off-site locations as needed

 

What You Bring

  • Completion of a recognized Ultrasound program
  • Registration with CMRITO
  • 3 years of recent experience (preferred)
  • Proficiency in abdominal and OB/GYN scanning; Doppler/vascular experience is an asset
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role
  • Clear criminal reference and vulnerable sector check
