Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities
· This position is a full-time position with 3 days a week minimum in office (on-site service work is the focus). Travel will be necessary in cases of increasing field repair volume.
· Management of services both in-factory and on-site at the customer’s site, including repairs, preventative maintenances and logistics for parts and travel for technicians
· Operation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of all Axion products including: electrical, mechanical, and software problems with critical engagement intended to inform the Engineering team of potential shortcomings in the product line.
· Professional interactions with customers when scheduling and updating for maintenance and repairs and providing guidance to ensure proper instrument function and use
· Processing transactions in the ERP system associated with service and repairs and maintain accurate records of services.
· Work with the Field Service Engineers in North America and EMEA to diagnose the root cause of failure for a process or product.
Technical Qualifications
Must Haves
· An associate degree or a BS in Engineering (or other equivalent field or relevant work experience).
· At least 2 years of employee management experience and technical experience with electrical/mechanical system repair, maintenance, and operation.
· Experience using and troubleshooting laboratory-based equipment such as plate readers, microscopes, and similar equipment
· General knowledge of Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, Outlook etc. are a must.
· Ability to read and understand technical documents and follow SOPs.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
· Efficiently works under pressure and within deadline.
· Ability to travel with overnight stays with approximately a 1 week notice.
