Hybrid Chief Cloud Architect & Lead Infrastructure SME chez JST

Overview

JST is currently seeking a Chief Cloud Architect & Lead Infrastructure SME who will provide expert knowledge of AWS GovCloud architecture and infrastructure support for MC&FP.

This is a full-time on-site position in Alexandira, VA. JST offers a full benefit package, a collaborative work environment and strong company culture. Veterans and military spouses are encouraged to apply. This position is contingent upon contract award. 

Chief Cloud Architect & Lead Infrastructure SME Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for enterprise cloud adoption, infrastructure modernization, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Architect, design, and oversee implementation of secure and scalable cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions.
• Serve as the primary advisor to government executives on cloud strategy, infrastructure planning, and emerging technologies.
• Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity and regulatory requirements (NIST, FedRAMP, FISMA, Zero Trust).
• Lead infrastructure teams responsible for networking, storage, compute, virtualization, and cloud operations.
• Develop technical roadmaps, standards, and best practices for cloud architecture and infrastructure services.
• Manage vendor relationships, evaluate new technologies, and oversee enterprise cloud contracts and service agreements.
• Collaborate with program managers, security officials, and system owners to align infrastructure solutions with mission needs.
• Direct disaster recovery, continuity of operations, and system resilience planning.
• Mentor and guide technical staff, fostering innovation and knowledge sharing.

Chief Cloud Architect & Lead Infrastructure SME Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, information systems, or a related field.
• A minimum of six years of DoD or Federal IT Architecture and/or Infrastructure experience.
• A minimum of five years of experience in AWS GovCloud architecture and infrastructure support.
• Possess one of the following certifications: CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSO, GCIA, GCSA, GCLD, GICSP, GSLC, CISSP, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP.

 Chief Cloud Architect & Lead Infrastructure SME Desired Qualifications

• A minimum of five years of experience supporting cloud architecture and infrastructure in DevSecOps and Agile development environments.

Required Clearances and Screenings

• MUST possess a TS/SCI clearance
• MUST be able to successfully pass a drug screen and background check
