DESCRIPTION: | Provide leadership and programmatic coordination to support the AVID Program and advance the institutionalization of Schoolwide AVID. The AVID Coordinator is responsible for ½ of the responsibilities outlined in the job description, while each AVID Leadership Team Position is responsible for ¼ of the responsibilities outlined in the job description. Please see attached job description for additional information. |
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S): | - Valid California Teaching Credential
- Documented participation in AVID Center training (AVID Summer Institute) or LACOE AVID trainings (AVID Path Training)
- Must teach at least one period of AVID during 2024-2025 school year

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION(S): | - Prior experience with AVID leadership
- Willingness to engage colleagues in utilizing schoolwide AVID strategies, promote a college-going culture, collaborate regarding AVID student performance, and support AVID family and outreach events
